Do you like chai? I do! I’ve always loved making it at home from a store-bought powder mix, but I decided I wanted to make my own mix because I don’t want all the sugar anymore.
I converted a recipe I found online, made it today, and it’s DELICIOUS! The sugar substitute I chose is perfect — no weird aftertaste. The very picky hubby even likes it.
Sugar-Free Homemade Chai Mix
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 c dry nonfat milk powder
- 1 c powdered non-dairy creamer (I used Earth Circle Organic Coconut Cream Powder because it has MCT powder)
- 1 c powdered French vanilla nondairy creamer
- 2.5 c Swerve (sugar substitute)
- 1.5 c unsweetened instant tea
Just blend it all together really well. I use two heaping tablespoons with hot water in a large coffee mug.
