I want to make some homemade yogurt with macadamia nuts and maybe some cashews. I'm going to make my own nut milk to avoid stabilizers, and we have a brew shop close by where I can get some cultures. My question is this: Do I need to add a source of sugar for the cultures? I know in regular dairy yogurt the happy little dudes eat the lactose. Anyone tried making yogurt with macadamia nuts?
